Bitcoins Market Cap as at Christmas

I.  Market capitalization overview

The Current market capitalization for CC is around 8,454,181,429 USD (12,091,531,604 USD on 14.12.2013). This is the biggest change -30% in downgrade from my last review compared to market capitalization only. The biggest impact is because of leaders of the board - Bitcoin and Litecoin. They seem to be in a scale going down even in the next couple of weeks.

This time of the year is also know as a low activity period for investors so don’t expect big money to be spend.

The first trought in my mind is that Coins are not a safe place for your investments yet. I am concerned that another spike could happen in the next weeks for the leading 5-10 coins. 

I do not want to review the prices everyday because the idea of this blog was not to tell you about, how to invest, but to try to find the best information for CCs business, investment or any other indirect influence they generate in the e-space.

So far I have told you about how to mine coins and where to start with a basic information. I told you also how to calculate your expenses while mining and one of my next guides will be how to buy and sell coins on the market. What you should know and do’s and don’ts.

II. What leads the prices

The prices are hard to be explained. Everything seems to be hyip nowadays, even cause we have a good leading coin - with an idea behind. But it is still very easy for some marketers to lure an uninformed people. I remember when I was writing about some HYIP blogs that people try to explain when a HYIP will go down, how to calculate the risk, what hyip admins want before the collapse. All those questions appeared in my mind before I decide to start working on this project.

The truth is that only Bitcoin is now recognized as alternative payment currency and everything else is on the edge of HYIP world. This doesn’t mean that you will not be able to turn some of your investments into real moneys, but as I said it’s pure gamble. Do you understand what leads the prices on 99% of the crypto-currencies around?

The same rules you can apply to a gambling are easily applied here too. What’s that mean? Because market prices are too volatile, I suggest that you spend as much as you can afford to lose!  This rule of course is more relevant to alternative coins and not Bitcoin for sure.

At the same time I believe strongly that if Bitcoin wants to expand, they have to decrease the difficulty of mining and that will decrease the price of the coins.

What will lead the prices in future is also the support from different famous people. As far as I know one of the biggest wallets is from Winklevoss Brothers, also known as Facebook drama.

III. Conclusion

It seems that the market capitalization is going directly down compared to last week. I expect the same thing in the next couple of weeks too maybe even till middle of January. This is because of low investments activity around this time of the year.

The next big variances will be expected when another famous people will start discussing the coins.

A lot of new coins are expected to generate more HYIP from which not more than 2% will actually generate something that deserve to be taken and invest.
